Well y'all I have made it through my first week (almost) of going to the gym. Tonight will be my fifth night and I must say I am kind of proud of myself. On night one I did 2 miles in 30 minutes - a 15 minute mile. Last night I did 2 miles in 24 minutes - a 12 minute mile (yes I finished out my remaining 6 minutes). A 3 minute improvement in 4 days is pretty good in my opinion. I have gotten use to the new schedule and actually seem to enjoy it.
I will admit, I am a creature of habit. I selected an elliptical machine my first night and used the same machine on night two, well the third night - gasp - someone was on "my" elliptical machine. At least last night all was right with the world, "my machine was available. Yay!!!!!

Day one
Well folks, last night was my first night at the gym. I will say it is a very clean, friendly (not aggressively friendly), well run establishment. There were plenty of apparatuses for everyone and no loud obnoxious people.
I got on my selected torture device, the elliptical machine, and set off at a moderate pace. The thing is all computerized and wants all kinds of information. I elected to do the manual program since I have no experience. It asked for an amount of time I wish to exercise.....hmmm 25 minutes sounds good. As the first few minutes ticked by I began to think that was maybe a little too ambitious..lol. I will go for 10 minutes..lol. As the ten minute mark approached I was very happy to almost be done, but we know me, I am not a quitter. I decided I would go two more minutes...then two more.....then two more and before I knew it I had gone 30 minutes and over two miles. Hey don't laugh, I am a fat out of shape girl.
Wish me luck tonight.

I am Lemming
So I have joined the new years band wagon. I joined a gym. It is my intention to get back in to some semblance of shape (not round). In order to help facilitate my going to the gym with some consistency I am instituting a jar system. Each day I go, I put a dollar in the "Treat" Jar and each day I don't go, I put a dollar in the "Trick" Jar. When the "Treat" Jar reaches $100.00 i get to go by some cute article of clothing. When the "Trick" Jar reaches $50.00 I will give to someone I don't like. If that isn't incentive to go, I don't know what is. (Disclaimer: I get two days off a week.)
Wish me luck!!!

2013 - away we go
Well 2013 is on it's way. Ate my black eyed peas yesterday, hope y'all did too.
I am joining a gym this week and making a conscious effort to tone up and be happy with how i look. Hopefully i am better at sticking to that than i am at blogging...lol
Rusty is enjoying his new job, mostly because they aren't stealing his pay...lol
CJ is doing his school work and will soon reap the benefits of doing his work...i.e. privileges etc.

Take Two.....again..lol
Hello everyone, I am once again going to try and make a go of this blog. Been a pretty busy year around here.
CJ (and the rest of us) have been adjusting to homeschooling. It has been difficult to say the least.
I have added a couple horses to my herd. One past horse returned and one new one.
I have added to my family
There have been career changes among the core nucleus of my little family. Economics have gone up, down and sideways and we are currently hoping this newest swing will land us back in the black again.
There was the death of a dear friend and the birth of new friendships. Many friends and family members have suffered health setbacks and prayers have been said. God has answered those prayers and many have recovered or are recovering. Friendships have waxed and wained and true friends have stayed true.
Thank you to all who have had such a positive place in my life. You are valued and loved.

RCSE
Well y'all new year new chapter.....CJ is starting homeschooling We have found some serious holes in his education and feel this is the very best way to allow CJ to succeed. He will have the opportunities to learn in a style that suits HIM, advance in subjects that interest HIM and muddle through the requirements of those that don't...lol. Anyone who knows my little man understands he is a bright fun boy that learns in his own way! I think his last principal summed it up very well in one short sentence "School just isn't CJ's thing" Now i know there are those of you who will say "since when is that an option" well simply put, since i am his mother....lol.
Never thought i would be a Head Mistress........a mistress and a Mistress maybe....but scholastically...WOW!!!!
