Fun Monday ~~ 2/7/11
This is an easy one for me. I think about this every time I play the lottery....lol.
I would fund the redoing of kitchen at my son's school. The kitchen feeds not only my son's school but the school next door also. The kitchen feeds grades PRE-K thru 12th. They do a fantastic job with home made meals everyday. I would love to see it done easier with a more efficient kitchen.
Second, I would endow two scholarships for a complete Catholic education K-12 at St. Joe's and Holy Cross. One boy and one girl would be selected per year to receive the scholarship.
Third, I would pay for the remainder of one of my co-workers daughter's education. She is in college and there is a real possibility the money will run out before she finishes. Unfortunately the family makes to much to qualify fir financial aide but not enough to afford school.

Fun Monday ~~ 01-31-11

The premise: My book is about how the Grand Canyon, one of the largest canyons in the world, started as a little crack. Life is like that. If we don't take time to notice the cracks, we end up with canyons. That is not ALWAYS a bad thing. The Grand Canyon is a beautiful natural wonder and I am glad the crack became what we know it as. This book is just a cautionary tale to look at the crack and make a conscious decision if it needs to be mended or allowed to grow.
Now, head back over to Ari's and happy reading.

Kicking the Bucket

Have you heard of The Bucket List? Well, that's what I want from you! Make a list of things you want to do before you die. It must be at least five items - and you can make it as long as you desire. Photos are optional. And let's hear about some of the wackiest, most bizarre to-do's on your Bucket List!
- To live a year in Ireland
- To live a year in Italy
- To own a 1968 Mustang, again!
- To show in one major APHA (American Paint Horse Association) show with NV.
- I would say to find that one person to love for the rest of my life, but since I would be dying, that would be pretty dang tacky.
- I would like to go shopping without worrying about money. Not just shopping for me and no particular store, just shopping without worry.
So there you have it! Check back tomorrow for next Monday's topic.

A Girl of Many Shoes/Fun Monday

I have a pair of sandals that I love. They are tall, they are leather, they are strappy, they are sexy and they just make me feel good when I wear them - you know, the hip-sashaying kind of good. Plus, at 5-9, I have height issues and must compensate. Those 3 inches sure do help out.
I wear these shoes to everything, every day that I need a boost. It doesn't matter if you should wear closed-toe shoes to an event, you can never go wrong with the shoes that make you happy; case in point - target practice. No toes were damaged in the making of this picture.
I have regulation black steel toes that I wear to work (bodily fluid resistant, also) and sneaks for watching my son's football games and riding boots (1 English and 4 Western pair) for horseback riding and the accompanying chores and slippers for in the house

but these are what I wear 90% of the time - summer, winter, rain, snow, it pretty much doesn't matter. I am a transplant from California and, while my speech is adapting, my footwear isn't. You can take the girl off the Coast, but you can't take the coast out of the girl.
Thanks for letting me play.
